SINCRONY’S Toolbox

The SINCRONY Toolbox is an accessible online space that brings together the project’s main tools, methods and findings. It is designed to support more inclusive ways of involving young people, researchers, educators, policymakers and institutions in deliberative and participatory processes.

Through practical resources and research-based insights, the Toolbox helps users understand, adapt and replicate SINCRONY’s approaches in different contexts. It brings together intersectional perspectives, lessons learned from the project’s piloting cases and materials that can continue to inform research, education, policy development and social action beyond the project itself.

Online Card Game
This open-source card game developed by the SINCRONY Project is designed to spark reflection and discussion on young people’s experiences, inequalities and participation.
Tools for
educators and facilitators

Educators, teachers, youth workers and facilitators will be able to use the Toolbox resources to help them prepare group sessions, adapt and design participatory activities. Some materials are being developed for being used in classrooms, workshops or community settings, while others will help facilitators design their own approach using the SINCRONY framework. This section will also support those who want to go one step deeper: understanding the methodology, collecting examples, using project evidence and reflecting on how inclusive their own practices really are.

Tools for
young people and groups

Young people and youth groups will find resources to explore participation on their own terms! This part of the Toolbox will not require expert knowledge; it will offer accessible ways to reflect on who gets heard, who is left out, and how different life experiences shape the way people take part in society. From the Social Portraits card game to the PINGG podcast and participatory workshop formats, these tools will help young people start conversations, organise group moments, recognise inequalities around them and imagine more welcoming democratic spaces.

PINGG Podcast
The PINGG podcast is an audio and video series exploring youth participation, intersectionality and democratic participation through conversations with researchers, practitioners and young people.
